Our Story
At Magic on Main Travel®, we specialize in creating vacation experiences that are tailor-made just for your family -- to theme parks, and beyond!
Our company was born out of more than just a love for all things Disney (although you’ll find plenty of that too!). As a Cast Member at the Walt Disney World® Resort, owner Amanda Harris was immersed in the history, culture, and traditions of the Walt Disney Company on a daily basis. While working on Main Street USA®, she observed first-hand how the smallest details could make or break a guest’s experience at the parks. Through intense training in the art of guest service, she learned how to turn ordinary experiences into magical moments.
As an alumna Cast Member, friends often asked Amanda if she would help plan their vacations. She was more than happy to oblige - it was almost as much fun as being back there herself! She even regularly found herself convincing those that were hesitant to “do Disney” that yes they SHOULD go, and yes they COULD go. And go they did - with Amanda planning every detail.
The requests kept coming and soon Amanda realized the potential existed to plan for others professionally. With more than 20 resorts, over 100 restaurants, and countless attractions and activities, it was easy to see why guests become overwhelmed with the decisions! Shouldn’t everyone have someone “in the know” to trust with planning their precious vacation? To guide them to the best options specifically for them? Someone who knows which attractions are too intense for a preschooler afraid of the dark, can pinpoint which character meal is least likely to over stimulate a child with sensory issues, and who knows the resorts so well they can even suggest the best building to stay in? Of course they should!
Since then, Amanda along with the team of professional advisors at Magic on Main Travel®, has sent thousands of families on their own magical adventures! Each trip itinerary is hand-designed and crafted around the guest’s needs and desires, reflecting our commitment to providing every family with the attention to detail that we employ when planning our own travel.
Each Travel Advisor at Magic on Main Travel® prides themselves on their knowledge of the parks, resorts, ships, and other Disney vacation destinations. We visit, we experience, we review, we explore—all to bring you the most up to date information as we plan your trip together. When we can’t be in the parks ourselves, hearing from and seeing pictures of our guests enjoying the trip of a lifetime is the next best thing!
