About Ellen

Ellen Duncan has a thirst for knowledge. Growing up, Ellen’s family would choose new interesting, historical places to visit every summer (ex: Niagara Falls, Washington D.C., Gettsyburg, and Boston). Although those trips were important in shaping her love of learning, there was one location that significantly impacted her education for years to come. At fifteen, from the moment she walked onto the campus and stepped between the eagle-topped columns, Ellen knew one thing: she was going to Auburn University. When Ellen completed her high school graduation as one of only three kids from her school to go to Auburn, reality hit: she wasn’t going to know anyone. But that didn’t stop Ellen! She was determined to make the most out of it, so she joined a sorority and continued to push herself to try new things. Her perseverance and desire for knowledge never stopped (in fact, she admits that she would go back to school for another degree if given the chance); which is one reason Ellen loves being a travel advisor! Now, she’s able to not only learn about new places, but experience new cultures, foods, ceremonies, and what makes a place special in person—and then pass that along to her clients!
